The initiative, driven by the Lideremos platform, focuses on three fundamental pillars that influence young people's decision to stay or leave the city: access to employment and entrepreneurship, housing availability, and mental health support. The proposal was delivered during a meeting with the Mayor of Almería.
“"We are committed to demonstrating that youth have concrete solutions for their own problems, and Almería has everything it needs to lead them."
According to platform spokespersons, the plan seeks to build upon existing advancements within the Almería City Council, with the vision of transforming the city into a benchmark for youth talent in Andalucía. It was emphasized that the platform not only formulates proposals but is also committed to implementing them, drawing on experience gained in other national administrations.
The Lideremos platform, which brings together over 20,000 young people across Spain, defines itself as a launchpad for youth talent and leadership, independent and non-partisan. Its mission is to generate concrete proposals for new generations, based on consensus and dialogue. Its previous achievements include contributing to the Andalucía Housing Law and integrating its ideas into the Suicide Prevention Action Plan.
The Mayor of Almería has shown interest in the proposals presented and has expressed willingness to study them for potential implementation in local public policies.
