The Deputy for Entrepreneurship, Esther Álvarez, visited the university campus where the stands of the participating companies have been set up. This initiative, organized by the Vice-Rectorate for Postgraduate Studies and Institutional Relations in collaboration with the Cajamar group, the Provincial Council of Almería, and the Social Council of the UAL, aims to offer students first-hand information on the most in-demand skills in the current market.
The rector of the UAL, José J. Céspedes, highlighted the importance of this meeting, which is part of the UALConecta 2026 program. He emphasized that the quality employability of graduates is a priority objective for the institution, and that events like this allow for a direct approach to the demands of the labor market.

A meeting like this allows for an approach that enables us to understand first-hand the demands of the labor market and the needs of the productive sector, so that we can better guide student training to respond to the real context of the professional world."
Céspedes also explained that the university is focused on reducing the theoretical load of studies and increasing practical training, emphasizing the vital importance of company internships and employment programs for labor insertion. For her part, Mariola Hidalgo, president of the Social Council of the UAL, stressed that the University of Almería offers high-quality studies that prepare students to add value to companies in the province, and that the fair strengthens relationships with Almería's productive and social fabric.
The Deputy for European Initiatives and Entrepreneurship, Esther Álvarez, reiterated that the fair is a fundamental space for meeting job seekers and the business sector, fostering direct contact. In addition to the company exhibition, the fair includes a program of training workshops and conferences on employability, personal branding, job searching, resume writing, and public speaking techniques, including a session on English job interviews to promote internationalization.
The Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) participates with two exhibitors, offering information on its services and new digital functionalities. Amós García Hueso, territorial delegate for Employment, Business and Self-Employment and provincial director of the SAE, highlighted the service's collaboration in this “showcase of job offers” for young people in the province. Finally, José María Vargas, Cajamar's area director for Almería, congratulated the UAL for the initiative, which he considers a commitment to the future, innovation, and sustainability.
