The incident occurred on the morning of May 17, when officers from the Citizen Assistance Group were dispatched following a report of a stabbing with a bladed weapon at a residence. Upon arrival, they found a man bleeding profusely from his right leg.
Two officers immediately intervened, applying an emergency tourniquet to control the severe hemorrhage and stabilize the man, who was in a state of shock. He was subsequently transported by ambulance to the Torrecárdenas University Hospital for medical attention.
The alleged aggressor, of Venezuelan nationality, lived with the victim. During the police operation, a kitchen knife with a wooden handle, believed to have been used in the assault, was recovered.
A relative of the victim, an eyewitness, reported that the argument began after returning from a night out. According to her testimony, the woman, allegedly intoxicated, became aggressive and initially grabbed a fork before allegedly stabbing the victim with a knife in the shin area.
Neighbors of the building later confirmed to officers that disturbances at the residence were frequent and stated they heard a man repeatedly shouting "don't cut me, don't cut me" that morning.
After being discharged from the hospital, the victim decided to leave the residence and return to his home country.
