The contract, valued at 307,770 euros, involves the creation of a new building that will integrate the offices of the Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) on the ground floor and the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) on the first floor. This project aims to modernize infrastructure and address the space and accessibility deficiencies of the current headquarters.
The estimated investment for the future construction works is 2,750,000 euros. The new center, to be located on a plot owned by the autonomous community, is designed to accommodate at least 49 workstations, distributed between the two administrations. The SAE will have 27 workstations, while the SEPE will have 22 workstations and a computer lab with capacity for 15 to 20 people.
The need for this change is justified by the "substantial deficiencies" of the current headquarters, which serves 12,000 job seekers. Identified problems include architectural limitations, accessibility difficulties for people with reduced mobility, and inadequate natural lighting and ventilation, which prevent optimal use of the available space.
The lease agreement for the current premises on Carretera de Ronda expires on May 30, 2026, although an extension is anticipated until the new center becomes operational. The project will include waiting rooms, a self-management area, a meeting room, and a multipurpose room of one hundred square meters, in addition to a private consultation room for special cases requiring privacy, such as victims of gender violence, ensuring acoustic comfort and climatic efficiency.
