The Civil Guard Command in Almería has closed its curricular internship program in collaboration with the University of Almería (UAL) with very positive results. This edition has represented a significant advancement for the institution by incorporating technical disciplines focused on communication innovation and specialized social intervention.
Over the past months, four UAL students have integrated into the Command's daily operations. Two students from the Degree in Law have undertaken training in high-responsibility technical areas, collaborating within the Organic Unit of Judicial Police, the Traffic Sub-sector, the Fiscal and Borders Company, and the Expedients department, applying public sector regulations.
The main milestone of this call has been the inclusion, for the first time in the Almería Command, of specialized positions outside the legal field. A student from the Degree in Marketing and Market Research has worked in the Peripheral Communications Office (OPC), while a student from the Master's in Migrations, Mediation, and Vulnerable Groups has assisted the Immigrant Assistance Team (EDATI). These profiles have strengthened institutional information management, press release drafting, media relations, and mediation and translation tasks (Arabic, English, and French) during visits to vulnerable settlements in the province.
The students have highly valued the experience, emphasizing the significant trust placed in them and the opportunity to operate as full members of the staff, taking on responsibilities of real value to public security and administration.
With the conclusion of this training period, the Civil Guard of Almería reaffirms its commitment to developing young talent, consolidating a modern, transparent, and multidisciplinary structure to effectively respond to the evolving realities of civil society through technical-academic excellence.
