The day of Monday, August 24, at the Almería Fair will begin with a solemn ceremony honoring 'Los Coloraos', historical figures of the city, in front of the monument to the Martyrs of Freedom. The dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Almería (UAL), Ms. Fátima Pérez, will be the speaker at the event, which will take place at 10 AM in the Plaza de la Constitución.
Throughout the day, the program will offer various activities. From 10 AM to 2 PM, Calle Castellar will host a Urban Graffiti Exhibition under the slogan 'Live, Enjoy, Care for Almería'. Subsequently, at 11 AM, the first section of the Paseo de Almería (next to C/ Navarro Rodrigo) will be the venue for inclusive games for the whole family.
Gastronomy will have its space in the Plaza de las Velas with the IV Almeriense Gastronomy Meeting, which will include talks and tastings from 11:45 AM to 2:30 PM. The Midday Fair will start at 1 PM with musical performances, including Kiko El Grillo, and entertainment in the city center.
In the afternoon, at 6 PM, the Paseo de Almería will host 'Almería dances at the Fair', with Sevillanas dancing, and from 7 PM to 10 PM, the fairgrounds will offer a noise-free space with fixed lights for individuals with auditory and visual hypersensitivity. Concurrently, from 7 PM to 10 PM, the IV Almería Women's Cup will be held at the CDM Tito Pedro.
The evening will be filled with tradition and festivity. At 7:30 PM, the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Mar will host the Solemn Septenary in honor of the Virgen del Mar, with the attendance of the Association of Brotherhoods and Confraternities of Almería and presided over by M.I. Mr. Ramón Garrido Domene. Simultaneously, at the same time, the anticipated Flower Battle will begin from the Anfiteatro de la Rambla, touring several streets until its return to the starting point.
The Fairgrounds will be the epicenter of the night with the Tribute to the Elderly at 9 PM (access by invitation) and, starting at 10 PM, the XLI International Folklore Festival 'City of Almería' in the Plaza de la Constitución, with the participation of groups from Paraguay, Argentina, Spain (Valencia), and Brazil. The night will conclude with music at the Municipal Booth featuring performances by Trio Cadifornia and Orquesta Cristal.
