In a recent interview for the podcast 'Pegados a la cal', Sena, a recognized figure in Almerian football, detailed the key moments of his life. The son of an Equatorial Guinean father who arrived in Almería at the age of 13 during the Franco era, Sena proudly defines himself as «half of my blood is Guinean and the other half is Almerian».
“"Spain is not a racist country. Sometimes I think we confuse racism with classism."
His life experience, forged through years in sports and public service, gives him a unique perspective on society. As a left-footed footballer, Sena made his debut with Almería CF in the Second Division in the 90s, facing UD Las Palmas. A chronic knee injury forced him to retire prematurely from professional football.
After his time as an athlete, Sena found a new calling in security, completing fourteen years of service in the Huércal de Almería Local Police. This summer, his dedication to football will lead him to obtain the highest coaching qualification, the UEFA Pro, which will allow him to manage teams at any level. He has recently been applying his knowledge with the senior team of Pechina.
