The territorial delegation of Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía in Almería has organized the training day titled ‘Basic Principles for the Management of a Sports Entity’. This activity, part of the continuous training program of the Andalusian Institute of Sport (IAD), aims to strengthen the management of sports clubs in the region.
The territorial delegate, Juan José Alonso, highlighted the importance of sports clubs as "a fundamental piece within Andalusian sport", emphasizing their "significant social, educational, and community function, especially among the youngest". Alonso stressed the Junta de Andalucía's commitment to supporting these entities not only through subsidies and facility improvements but also through training and guidance in their daily management.
The event was attended by approximately one hundred participants, including athletes, technicians, and representatives of sports entities. This initiative is part of a program that has been running in the eight Andalusian capitals since March and will conclude in June.
The main objective of the course is to provide comprehensive and up-to-date training on the regulatory, administrative, and social aspects governing the management of sports entities in Andalucía. Special attention is given to the protection of minors against violence in sport, a topic of great relevance in the current sports landscape.
The content covered included the framework protocol for the protection of minors against violence in sport, addressing prevention, detection, and action in potential risk situations. Furthermore, the creation and basic management of sports clubs and sections were analyzed, along with the processing of sports subsidies managed by the territorial delegations of the Junta.
Speakers such as Raúl Carmona Guisado, Head of the Sport Service in Seville; Fátima Villar Cañada, Head of the Sport Service in Jaén; Marta García Tascón, titular professor at the Pablo de Olavide University; and José Manuel Lobo Serrato, legal advisor and specialist in matters concerning minors, shared their expertise.
In parallel, the Andalusian Institute of Sport (IAD) is concluding other training days in Almería aimed at graduates and students of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, as well as coaches and physical trainers. Under the title ‘Integration of neuromuscular and mechanical variables in strength training programming’, these sessions have taken place at the Youth Hostel and the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium.
Participants have delved into the application of neuromuscular and mechanical variables to optimize sports performance, exploring monitoring strategies such as execution velocity control and the use of force platforms. The IAD thus reaffirms its commitment to continuous training and knowledge updating for sports professionals.
