The electronic music festival at the Almería Fair, held on August 28 at the Recinto Ferial, brought together more than 4,000 attendees. The event, featuring performances by Mikel Molina, Gonçalo, and the duo Mestiza, was interrupted and ultimately canceled due to an incident involving a fairground attraction.
Mestiza's performance, which had started to great acclaim, had to be paused around 11:30 PM following a report of a malfunction at an attraction located opposite the concert venue. Several individuals were trapped approximately 50 meters high, necessitating a complex three-hour rescue operation involving the Local Police, Firefighters, and the Poniente Fire Brigade.
Emergency services determined that the sound vibrations from the concert could compromise the attraction's safety during the rescue. After more than an hour of waiting and with no certainty of resuming the show, the organizers, in coordination with the Culture Department of the Almería City Council and the production company, decided to cancel the event.
Consequently, Mestiza could not complete their set, and the planned closing session by Chris Damon also had to be canceled. The festival's production included over 100 meters of LED screens, 80 lighting projectors, and 90,000 watts of sound.
