These accolades, already established in other Andalusian locations, will hold their inaugural Almería edition on Tuesday, April 14, at the elegant salón noble of the Círculo Mercantil. The event will feature a performance by the Capilla Musical Passio Almeriensis.
This first ceremony will present five awards, highlighting various contributions to the Almería Holy Week of 2026. The categories include Social Action, Heritage and Culture, Trajectory, Project, and History and Tradition.
The Gota a Gota Social Action Award has been granted to the Hermandad del Silencio for its Lumen Silentii initiative, a candlelit charity concert. This event, held at the San Agustín church, supported those affected by the DANA in Valencia in its first year and, in 2026, the ARGAR association for Parents of Children with Cancer in Almería.
In the Heritage and Culture category, the Hermandad del Resucitado has been recognized for the blessing of the image of Santa María Magdalena, a work by José María Leal. This new piece joins the mystery float of the Resucitado, enriching the heritage of Almería's Holy Week.
The Banda de Cornetas y Tambores Santa Cruz de Almería received the Gota a Gota Trajectory Award for its 30 years of dedication. The ensemble has established itself as one of the most emblematic of Almería's Holy Week, noted for its high musical standard.
The Gota a Gota Project Award was given to the Huércal-Overa initiative for creating three House Museums for the Paso Morao, Paso Blanco, and Paso Negro. This project, supported by the Huércal-Overa City Council, aims to make the town a benchmark for sacred heritage in the Levante Almeriense region.
Finally, the Gota a Gota History and Tradition Award has been bestowed upon the Hermandad del Cristo de la Expiración y María Santísima de los Dolores from Adra. This corporation safeguards the Cristo de la Expiración, a 1623 work by Alonso de Mena and the oldest crucifix in the province, and is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
