The province of Almería has become the epicenter of flamenco fashion with the celebration of 'We Love Flamenco', an event that for the first time leaves Seville to highlight local talent in the Cathedral Cloister.

The Cathedral Cloister of Almería was the chosen setting for the debut of the 'Almerian Talent' catwalk, an event marking the first time that the organizers of 'We Love Flamenco' have brought their prestigious event outside of Seville. This initiative aims to showcase flamenco fashion produced in the region, with the support of the Diputación de Almería and the 'Almerian Talent' brand.
The fashion show, structured into three blocks, offered a diverse display of flamenco fashion. Creations by established designers were seen, alongside innovative proposals from local firms. The organizers emphasized the pride in local production and the international projection that this event confers on the province's fashion.

"What we have seen on the catwalk is definitive proof that flamenco fashion is at its best, experiencing a true explosion of creativity. Each designer has masterfully played with fabrics, mixing the elegance of plain dresses with the soul of the traditional polka dot."

The proposals presented included skirts and sleeves with spectacular volumes, always maintaining the traditional essence with the mantoncillo (small shawl) and flowers in the hair as essential accessories. These elements, according to experts, continue to be the ideal complement for any flamenco styling.

"We are delighted to discover the art that exists here. We must not forget that flamenco fashion is a totally Andalusian hallmark, and in Almería today we have seen creations full of 'flamencura' and design."

the event director
The first deputy mayor of the Almería City Council, Sacramento Sánchez, highlighted the double pride this event represents for the city: being the first to host it outside of Seville and the demonstration of the high level of local designers. For his part, a representative from the Diputación de Almería, underscored the importance of associating the province with such a significant media event, which helps to make visible the effort and creativity behind the 'Almerian Talent' brand.
This event consolidates Almería on the national fashion scene, demonstrating the fruitful collaboration between the Diputación and 'We Love Flamenco' and reaffirming the richness of flamenco as a cultural expression in the region.
