The investigation, carried out by the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade, has so far clarified seven burglaries in sports facilities, clubs, bars, and restaurants in the city. Officers detected similarities between the incidents, allowing them to establish a common pattern and determine that the perpetrators acted in coordination, targeting establishments with cash.
A distinctive feature of the group was their regular use of electric scooters to quickly reach the premises and flee after committing the robberies, which typically occurred in the early morning or late at night. They forced doors, locks, and cash registers to steal money.
The police operation identified the group members and established a division of roles, with some entering the premises and others acting as lookouts. Tools and objects of interest for the investigation were seized.
The two adult detainees have been placed in provisional pre-trial detention, while the minor has been admitted to a reform center. The investigation remains open, and the involvement of the detainees in other robberies in the province is not ruled out.
The National Police have provided advice for preventing establishment burglaries, such as maintaining operational video surveillance and alarm systems, checking access points before closing, avoiding leaving significant amounts of cash in cash registers, and paying attention to suspicious individuals loitering nearby. They urge reporting any suspicious situations to 091 without direct confrontation.
