The tournament, organized by Club Baloncesto Murgi with the collaboration of the El Ejido City Council, will be held in the parking lot of the Almerimar rugby field. Two official FIBA courts will be set up for the competition.
The Councilor for Sports, María José Martín, highlighted the council's commitment to events that energize the municipality, combining sports activity with leisure.
The competition will feature five categories: U13 Male (born in 2013 and later), U16 Female and Male (born in 2010 and later), and the Senior Pro Male and Female categories.
Each team, consisting of three or four players, will have a limit of twelve participants per category, meaning spots are limited. Final schedules will be announced after the registration period closes.
The registration fee will be 60 euros per team for the lower categories and 80 euros per team for the Senior Pro categories. Lower category teams will compete for trophies and gifts, while Senior Pro teams will vie for cash prizes of 800 euros for first place and 400 euros for second.
Throughout the three days of the event, in addition to the tournament, there will be music, entertainment, a speaker, food trucks, raffles, and various surprises to create a festive and sporting atmosphere.
