The gathering, promoted by the Almería City Council's Culture Department and supported by Crash Music, brought together artists, creators, cultural managers, and representatives from associative networks. The primary goal was to foster an open and constructive dialogue to define the uses and programming of the center, which opened its doors on February 20 after the renovation of the old cinema with European funds from the CAMINA Plan.
During the session, participants shared various proposals and ideas, focusing on cultural innovation, mediation, training, and contemporary creation. Discussions also covered the integration of the space into the Pescadería-La Chanca neighborhood and its connection with the rest of the city, aiming for Katiuska to become a hub for cultural engagement and revitalization.

The Culture councilor, who attended the event, emphasized the importance of these meetings and reaffirmed the City Council's commitment to a participatory management model. Meanwhile, the activities coordinator from Crash Music highlighted the need to listen to the cultural sector to design programming that addresses Almería's real needs.
All contributions gathered will be analyzed and incorporated into the project's development, and will soon be available on the municipal website. The City Council plans to continue these working sessions in the coming months to further advance the consolidation of Katiuska as a cultural landmark.
