Unlike the rest of Andalusia, where a temperature decrease is expected, Almería will face another day of extreme heat. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts that thermometers will continue to register very high values, especially in the provincial interior.
Forecasts indicate that Huércal-Overa will record the highest temperature, reaching a maximum of 41 degrees and a minimum of 24 degrees. In Almería capital, maximums will be around 34 degrees, with minimums of 24 degrees, showing a slight decrease compared to previous days.
The orange alert will be activated in the regions of Valle del Almanzora y Los Vélez, Nacimiento y Campo de Tabernas, and Levante almeriense during the central and hottest hours of the day. Four other Andalusian provinces, Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, and Málaga, will remain on yellow alert, making Almería the only one with the highest risk level.
Skies are expected to be mostly clear or slightly cloudy, with light variable winds tending to blow from the west. The situation will begin to change on Friday, when temperatures are expected to drop significantly, with Huércal-Overa falling to 36 degrees and the capital to 33 degrees.
During the weekend, the thermal decrease will continue inland, reducing the differences between the coast and the interior. On Sunday, the capital will register maximums of 32 degrees, while Huércal-Overa will remain at 34 degrees.
