The Rojiblanco team returned to activity with a morning session at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos. The squad began preparations for Saturday's match against CE Sabadell, corresponding to the third matchday of LaLiga Hypermotion. The game will be played at the Estadio Municipal Nova Creu Alta.
Sergio Arribas and Nelson Monte were the notable new additions in Wednesday's training session. Both players, who did not travel to Tenerife, appear to have overcome the physical issues they were experiencing last week. It is speculated that their previous absences might also have been linked to the closing stages of the transfer market.
During the fifteen minutes open to the media, both Arribas and Monte trained without issues alongside their teammates. Mihailo Radic, the reserve team's left-back, also joined the group, filling the vacancy in the central defense position.
The most significant absence was that of Nico Melamed, whose reason has not been disclosed by the club. This absence is in addition to that of Gui Guedes, who underwent surgery for an external meniscus tear. Alejandro Pozo continues his recovery with individual training.
Coach García Pimienta led the session with 23 players, including goalkeepers Andrés Fernández, Fernando Martínez, and Áron Yaakobishvili; defenders such as Daijiro Chirino, Marcos Luna, Álex Muñoz, Mihailo Radic, Jorge Pulido, Federico Bonini, Nelson Monte, Chumi, and Rodrigo Ely; midfielders like Stefan Dzodic, Mikel Vesga, Quim Junyent, and Sergio Arribas; and forwards such as Adrián Embarba, Leo Baptistao, Brian Cipenga, Jon Morcillo, Álex Sola, Thalys, and Miguel de la Fuente.
The team has another training session scheduled for Thursday at 10:00 AM in the Anexo de los Juegos Mediterráneos, followed by Xavier García Pimienta's press conference at 12:00 PM. On Friday, the final closed-door training will take place before traveling to Catalonia for pre-match concentration.
