The intervention of the ETF has a dual purpose: to preserve the rights of minors and promote their integral development within the family environment, and to facilitate their return to their family of origin in cases of family reunification after a protection measure.
Among the municipal actions highlighted is the III Municipal Plan for Childhood and Adolescence 2026-2030, designed to guarantee the rights of minors, foster their participation, and ensure their family protection. Additionally, financial aid is provided to families with minors at risk of exclusion to prevent separations and cover basic needs.

The Almería Provincial Council has five family treatment teams working to improve the quality of life for minors and adolescents, with the family as a fundamental pillar. The Andalusian Family Treatment Platform, which brings together about 600 professionals, aims to ensure the proper execution of the family treatment program, which has been a guaranteed service since last year. The goal is continuous professional training to constantly improve the program throughout the autonomous community.
