The Valle del Almanzora and Los Velez regions are currently the most affected areas. According to the meteosalud risk map, these municipalities are expected to exceed the maximum temperature thresholds established to safeguard public health throughout the week.
Health risk is determined by impact thresholds rather than just ambient temperature. In these regions, the limit is set at 35.5 degrees Celsius, a figure that will be significantly surpassed, with forecasts reaching up to 41 degrees in locations such as Macael and Albox.
Other parts of the province are also under surveillance. In the Levante almeriense, the risk threshold is set at 30.8 degrees, while in the Poniente and the capital, the alert is triggered when temperatures exceed 32.2 degrees Celsius.
