The province of Granada and its metropolitan area have been the epicenter of several seismic events during this Friday. The tremors, of low magnitude, have been perceived in various localities, with Churriana and La Zubia being the points where they were felt most intensely.
The most notable earthquake occurred in La Zubia at 2:16 PM, reaching a magnitude of 2.5 degrees and a depth of 0 kilometers. This shallow depth was key for the tremor to be felt in the capital and other nearby municipalities. Three minutes later, the National Geographic Institute (IGN) registered another movement in Armilla of 2.1 degrees and a depth of 3 kilometers.
In Churriana, the IGN classified the earthquake as 'felt,' although it alerted fewer citizens. This tremor had a magnitude of 2.1 degrees and a depth of 5 kilometers. Other towns such as Huétor Vega and Armilla also appear on the list of recent seismic events, albeit with reduced magnitudes, such as 1.5 and 1.6 degrees respectively.
