The Peligros City Council has agreed with the Transport Consortium on significant improvements to the bus service that will take effect next September. These expansions, representing a municipal investment of 100,000 euros, aim to optimize residents' mobility.
The main novelty is the addition of an extra vehicle and driver for the line 110 during the afternoon. This will allow buses to run every thirty minutes from seven in the morning. Additionally, the service known as the ‘owl bus’, which operates on Fridays, Saturdays, and eves of holidays, will extend its service until four in the morning.
These expansions position Peligros as one of the municipalities with the most comprehensive public transport service in the metropolitan area and the province. It is worth noting that since last academic year, a specific line for the IES Clara Campoamor high school has been operating, the route and frequencies of line 111-L (connecting Peligros with Albolote and Maracena) have been improved, and the schedules for line 111 on weekdays have been reinforced.
In the last two years, the City Council has increased its contribution to the Consortium by 180,000 euros annually to meet the public transport demands of the citizens of Peligros.
The new schedules are now available for consultation on the Transport Consortium website and on the official website of the Peligros City Council.
