The competition is open to all students of Secondary Education, High School, and Vocational Training attending schools in Maracena, as well as young residents of the town studying in other locations.
Entries must be original, focus on mystery or horror themes, and not exceed 200 words. Each participant may submit only one text in Word format. The organization has warned that the use of artificial intelligence in writing the stories will result in automatic disqualification.
The submission period will run from September 28 to October 9, 2026. Interested parties must send their work along with the registration form to the library's official email address, specifying the contest name in the subject line.
Two categories have been established: one for Secondary Education and another for High School and Vocational Training. In each category, a first and second prize will be awarded, consisting of a diploma, a genre book, and a gift.
