Maracena is preparing to celebrate its Patronal Festivals in honor of San Joaquín from August 13 to 16, with a program ranging from concerts by artists like Mojinos Escozíos and Cómplices to activities for all ages and an inclusive approach.

The musical lineup for the Maracena festivals, held from August 13 to 16, will be headlined by renowned artists such as Mojinos Escozíos, No me pises que llevo chanclas, Cómplices, Miguel Campello, and Sergio Contreras. The bill will be completed by the Súper Orquesta Marengo, Los Tocayos, Jaleo Kanalla, Sensi Martos Band, the duo Inmita y Toledo, and various DJ sets.
The mayor of Maracena, Carlos Porcel, highlighted that the festivals are an opportunity for reunion and enjoyment of the city, with a program designed for all generations. The opening day, August 13, will coincide with the traditional Children's Day, offering popular prices for attractions and a period without loud music or noises (from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM) for individuals with auditory sensitivity.
Following the lighting ceremony, María Jesús Espigares Martín will deliver the opening speech. The opening night will also feature performances by Mojinos Escozíos and No me pises que llevo chanclas, in addition to an inclusive drone show.
The Plaza Constitución will be the hub of the Daytime Fair, offering children's activities, live music, gastronomic offerings, water inflatables, and foam parties. The Municipal Swimming Pool will host a water party for attendees under 16 years old.
The program also includes the Day of the Horse, with ribbon races and an equestrian show; the third edition of the Grand Prix; the traditional seniors' dinner; the IV Classic Car and Motorcycle Meet; and a large hot chocolate event.
As a new feature, the Ciudad Deportiva will host a giant water park on the afternoons of August 13 and 14. The Councilor for Events, Amabel Adarve, stated that the Daytime Fair will offer music, sports, children's activities, food tastings, youth-oriented events, and spaces for seniors.
Special attention will be given to youth with the Youth Dinner, hosted by DJ Adri Jerez, which will include raffles and prizes. The councilor emphasized the inclusive nature of the festivities, with silent fireworks and a regulation room for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The City Council will provide a free children's play area at the Municipal Amphitheater (10:30 PM to 3:30 AM) to facilitate family work-life balance during the festival nights.
Religious events will hold a prominent place, with a triduum in honor of San Joaquín on August 13, 14, and 15. On August 16, the solemn mass and the procession of the patron saint through the streets of Maracena will take place, accompanied by the Municipal Music Band.
Mayor Carlos Porcel invited residents and visitors to participate with respect and responsibility, emphasizing that the festivals are a collective effort demonstrating that Maracena is a vibrant, welcoming city proud of its traditions.
