The Las Gabias City Council has unveiled the program for its 2026 Patron Saint Festivities, scheduled from July 24 to August 5, the patron saint's day. The event promises nearly two weeks of activities designed for all audiences, blending tradition, culture, sports, family entertainment, and music.
The musical lineup features renowned artists. On the night of July 31, Carlos Baute will kick off the municipal stage. He will be followed by Joana Jiménez on August 1, Pitingo on August 2, and La Húngara will conclude the musical offerings on August 4. These concerts once again position Las Gabias as a summer musical highlight in the metropolitan area of Granada.
In addition to music, the festivities will honor local traditions. The Floral Offering to Nuestra Señora de las Nieves Coronada will take place on July 25, and the Traditional Wine Fountain on August 1, fostering popular gathering. The celebrations will culminate on August 5 with the Solemn Mass and the Solemn Procession of the patron saint, followed by a fireworks display.
The program also includes a large aquatic party, the Grand Prix for teams as part of the European City of Sport 2026 initiative, a Family Night, cultural performances, open-air dances, exhibitions, gastronomic contests, children's activities, and sports events, aiming for participation across all age groups.
The mayor of Las Gabias, Meri Sádaba, emphasized that the festivities represent "the best expression of what we want to be as a city," a time for reunion and strengthening the sense of belonging. She thanked the efforts of the Fiestas Department, the Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves Coronada, associations, collectives, Local Police, Civil Protection, and municipal workers.
