The Youth Department will offer young people in Armilla guidance on available psychological support resources, as well as information on aid and administrative procedures. This service will be provided at the Espacio Joven, located in the Centro Reina Sofía, from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Additionally, the City Council has opened a citizen service office at the Casa de la Cultura, which will operate from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This office, in collaboration with the Bar Association of Granada, will provide specialized advice to those affected by the seismic events, facilitating information on insurance, claims, and other procedures arising from the damage.
The mayor, Loli Cañavate, emphasized the importance of "being close to all those who may need help," with special attention to the young population, who often have "less contact with the Administration" and are unaware of the resources available to them. "We want to open a door for them, listen to them, and accompany them," she stated.
Cañavate highlighted that the collaboration with the Bar Association aims to offer specialized support for the "many questions about insurance, claims, responsibilities, or procedures" that have arisen after the earthquakes, enabling residents to "face each situation with greater security."
These new resources complement the work of municipal services, which have been active since the initial hours following the earthquakes registered on August 15 and August 18, with their epicenter near Alhendín. Interventions have included inspecting properties and removing unstable elements, with over 500 calls registered by the Local Police and approximately 300 inspections.
