The Delegate for Culture of the Provincial Council, Gabriel Duque, highlighted the opportunity to enjoy amateur musical theatre thanks to the "Singular Programs" and mentioned the participation of the Palma Superstar company from Palma del Río, whose project also receives provincial support.
Salud Navajas, Councillor for Culture of the Posadas City Council, emphasized the importance of the biennial as "one of our major cultural projects, our most unique and identifying proposal," being the only musical theatre biennial in Spain, endorsed by the Escenamateur seal. Six companies from Córdoba, Seville, and Madrid will participate.
The efforts of the collective Esfiga Teatro Musical, celebrating its twentieth anniversary and making the Biennial possible, were acknowledged.
The initiative's coordinator, Manuel Romero, detailed the program: "Superstar" (November 8) by Palma Superstar; "El despertar de la primavera" (November 14) by Somnis; "Diario de una camarera" (November 15) by DarteArte; "Anastasia, la princesa Romanov" (November 21) by Musicales 3C; and "Lo hacemos y ya vemos" (November 22) by Escaparteatro.
The closing event will be on November 28 with the Grand Gala of Andalusian Musical Theatre, featuring the show "Érase una vez un musical" by Coro Ziryab and the company Humanella. The winning group will receive the Golden Biennial Award.
Tickets are priced at 6 euros per performance and are available through Entradium, on the Esfiga Teatro Musical website, or at the auditorium's box office one hour before each show.
