The athletic event, part of the Córdoba Popular Race Circuit, anticipates the participation of approximately 350 adults and nearly 300 in youth categories. Around 150 volunteers will be essential for the event's development, which will fill the streets with runners, families, and fans.
The main race, covering ten kilometers, will start at 10:00 AM with a two-lap circuit allowing spectators to see participants pass by multiple times. Subsequently, starting around 11:15 or 11:20 AM, the races for the youth categories will take place, from U16 down to the youngest ('chupetes'), whose participation is scheduled around 12:45 PM.
The organization aims for inclusivity across all ages, from children to veterans, with a program designed so that no one is left out. Participants who finish their respective races will receive a custom wooden medal featuring the Oil Route logo and a commemorative t-shirt.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the main race, as well as the top three local athletes. Prizes will also be given to the top three in each category.

The event highlights the municipality's identity, with olive oil as a central theme. The route will pass through the facilities of the VTV Cooperative, one of the main sponsors. Adult runners will receive a bottle of olive oil and an oil cruet, in addition to a runner's bag with local products such as water, fruit, sweets, potatoes, and quince paste.
As a tradition, after the races and awards ceremony, a rice or paella will be offered to participants and volunteers, reinforcing the event's social spirit. Additionally, raffles will be held for fruit baskets, seafood platters, and suits, along with training and diet plans.
The 150 volunteers will play a crucial role in aid stations, starts, finishes, and addressing any emerging needs. Services such as parking and showers at the sports center will be provided, creating a welcoming environment for both experienced runners and newcomers.
This year, adult participation places have been increased to 350, bringing the total forecast to around 650 participants. The Oil Route, in its twenty-first edition, maintains its formula of competition, grassroots sports, local products, and community gathering, consolidating its place in the Provincial Circuit of Popular Races of the Diputación de Córdoba.
