Hornachuelos is advancing in the process for its fare integration into the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Córdoba Area, a goal set for 2027. The town's mayor, Julián López, recently participated in a working meeting in Palma del Río with representatives from other municipalities such as Fuente Palmera and Fuente Carreteros, and the territorial delegate for Fomento and Mobility in Córdoba, Carmen Granados.
This meeting is part of a series of gatherings promoted by the Junta de Andalucía with municipalities that will join the Consortium's fare system. The aim is to coordinate integration planning and address the specific mobility needs of each locality.
Hornachuelos's accession is part of an expansion of the system that will include a total of 14 new municipalities in the province of Córdoba.
During the meeting, municipal representatives presented their proposals and needs regarding public transport, which will be analyzed for the planning of the future integration into the system.

This fare integration will allow users from the joining municipalities to benefit from the advantages of the Consortium card, including a 30% discount on travel fares, as well as other conditions and benefits associated with the integrated fare system.
The process is being developed within the framework of the Metropolitan Transport Plan for the Córdoba Area and the Sustainable Mobility Plan, which establish the guidelines for integrating new municipalities and improving public transport connections.
The Junta de Andalucía will continue with this series of meetings in the coming weeks to advance the effective fare integration of the municipalities planned for 2027.
