The Culture Department of the Alhaurín el Grande City Council has presented ‘Cuarta Estación’, the new cultural program that will run throughout September, October, and November. This initiative aims to offer an accessible and diverse cultural experience, featuring free activities and affordable ticket prices for residents and visitors.
The agenda covers various disciplines, with a special focus on theater and live music. Musical highlights include a concert by José Luis Jaén on October 2nd, coinciding with Antonio Gala's anniversary, and a tribute to Nino Bravo on November 7th. Theater will feature performances for families and adults, such as ‘Humorista de guardia’ and ‘Las trece rosas’. Additionally, ‘Un árbol tan frondoso que no deja entrar la luz’, by local playwright Manuel F. Tirado, will be presented on October 23rd and 24th.
Literature will also have a prominent space with book presentations and poetry gatherings like ‘Distintos. Lorca, 90 aniversario’, and the work ‘Imagen y poesía. El latir de los recuerdos’ by Francisco Cabrera. Children will enjoy storytelling sessions such as ‘Un bicho raro’ and ‘El viaje de Alma’.
The program also includes exhibitions like ‘Entre el aire impaciente’, by the XXIV Promotion of the Antonio Gala Foundation (until October 3rd), and an exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Municipal Oil Painting Workshop. The traditional Santa Cecilia Concerts will also take place in November.
This program has been made possible through collaborations with the Málaga Provincial Council and the Antonio Gala Foundation, enabling the inclusion of quality performances and showcasing local talent. The City Council also announced that the autumn and winter cultural workshop schedule will be released soon.
