Since 1996, with a brief pause due to the pandemic, Serón has been synonymous with quality and tradition in cured meats. Producers from the region gather in the town square to offer their artisanal products to hundreds of visitors, solidifying the fair as an unmissable event in the province.

The mayor of Serón, Manuel Martínez, expressed his satisfaction with the event's continuation, highlighting the increasing participation of companies and visitors. He noted that despite the large volume of portions served, their sales do not cover the full logistical and production costs.

The prestige of Serón's products extends beyond its borders, and the fair serves as a platform to promote both the cured meats and the town's name, recognized as the capital of flavor in Almería.
On Friday, July 3rd, at 9:30 PM, the square will host the 16th National Ham Carving Competition. Saturday, July 4th, will be the main day for tastings and the Jamón Rock festival. The event's popularity has grown so much that buses are even chartered from the provincial capital to attend.
