The delegate for Culture of the Provincial Council, Gabriel Duque, highlighted that the festival is an original proposal that enriches the leisure agenda of the Subbética region and acts as a driver for tourism attraction and economic revitalization for Rute in the autumn.
For his part, the first deputy mayor of the Ayuntamiento de Rute, Rafael García, stated that for three days the municipality will transform into a large sambadrome with a batucada competition that will bring together percussion groups from across the country.
García added that this activity is one of many planned in the municipality around the Christmas festivities and will be an attraction for those who wish to visit and discover all that Rute has to offer.
The festival's lineup includes performances by artists such as ‘Los Aslandticos’, ‘Los 300’, ‘La Mare’, and ‘Trigo Sucio’. Additionally, workshops will be led by renowned professionals, including a Bloco Afro workshop led by Allison Adesida and an Afro Dance workshop by Zoila Martín.
Live music will primarily take place at the Teatro Al Aire Libre Alcalde Pedro Flores, featuring fusion proposals, percussion bands, and DJ sets. In parallel, an artisan market will be set up.
