The competition, presented in Priego de Córdoba, is highlighted for its consolidation as one of the main cycling events on the calendar. Among the participants is Benjamín Noval, the current Spanish road and time trial champion, and cyclists who could be part of the Spanish selection for the World Championship.
The race will unfold over three days, covering approximately 310 kilometers and exceeding 6,100 meters of cumulative elevation gain. The challenging route has led to the continuation of the 'Infierno de la Subbética' (Hell of Subbética) designation, featuring significant ascents.
The first stage, set in Priego de Córdoba, has been modified and includes the climb of La Merced, the El Caballo sector, and the climbs of El Lanchar and El Cucadero, as well as an unpaved road section.
The organization has encouraged citizens to follow the event, emphasizing the work of the municipalities, volunteers, security forces, and Civil Protection. The competition will also have a tourism impact, with teams, technicians, and families staying in Priego.
The Ayuntamiento de Priego is sponsoring the distinctive jersey for the best Andalusian rider and a neutralized route through the central streets will take place before the start.
