The competition will bring together twelve of the most prestigious youth football clubs globally. Lucena, returning as a host for the second consecutive year, will be part of this high-profile sporting event.
The official presentation of the tournament took place in the Baroque Courtyard of the Diputación de Córdoba. The championship will be held across six venues distributed throughout the province: Palma del Río, Pozoblanco, Cabra, Montilla, Lucena, and Puente Genil.
Participating clubs include renowned names such as Real Madrid CF, São Paulo Futebol Clube, Sporting Clube de Portugal, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, Racing Club, GNK Dinamo de Zagreb, Club Athletico Paranaense, Real Sociedad, Real Betis, Málaga CF, and Córdoba CF, underscoring the tournament's significance in youth football development.
The president of the Diputación de Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes, accompanied by the Councillor for Sports, Ángel Novillo, and provincial councillor Irene Aguilera, highlighted the event's consolidation during the presentation. Fuentes stated that “this gathering of clubs... has established itself... as one of the most prominent sporting events in the international sports arena”.
Fuentes emphasized the commitment made last year to revive this competition, describing the previous edition as a success due to the “excellent response from the clubs, the impeccable organization, and the involvement of our municipalities”.
