The Virgen del Rosario will be named Perpetual Mayoress of Fuente-Tójar on the main day of its patron saint festivities, next Wednesday, October 7th. The appointment, approved by the Municipal Plenary, reaffirms the tradition and devotion of generations of residents towards their Patron Saint, responding to a request from the Hermandad (Brotherhood) supported by numerous faithful.
The celebration will begin at 7:00 AM with the Rosary of the Aurora. At 12:00 PM, a solemn Eucharist will be held in the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, presided over by the Bishop of Córdoba, Jesús Fernández. During the mass, the plenary agreement for the appointment will be read, and a commemorative azulejo tile will be unveiled. The celebration will be broadcast live by TV Centro Andalucía.
The day will continue with popular games at 1:15 PM, musical performances, and a solidarity paella. In the afternoon, at 8:00 PM, the Virgen del Rosario will parade through the streets in procession, accompanied by the Noguerones Music Band, and will conclude with fireworks and a musical evening.
The preceding religious events include the novena until October 6th, with special masses for the presentation of children and the anointing of the sick.
