The municipal Education department has announced four new grants of €600 each for the 2025-2026 academic year. These scholarships are aimed at students registered in the municipality who are pursuing studies at the Universities of Granada, Córdoba, and Málaga and participating in the international mobility program Erasmus+. The application period will be open from August 17 to 31.
The call includes two grants for students heading to Granada, one for Córdoba, and another for Málaga. These are in addition to the two scholarships already awarded to students from the University of Jaén, bringing the total number of grants offered by the council to six. The objective is to help cover the expenses of academic stays abroad and promote participation in mobility programs.
“"The government team thus fulfills the commitment to expand this call for aid to students from other Andalusian universities, in addition to Jaén and Granada, extending it to Córdoba and Málaga and, therefore, also the credit allocated to these aids."
The grants will be awarded through a competitive process, considering criteria such as family income, academic record, and the duration of the stay at the host university. Applications, along with the required documentation, can be submitted until August 31 through the City Council's Electronic Office.
The provisional resolution proposal will be published on the municipal notice board and website, opening a period of 10 business days for interested parties to submit allegations.
