The Social Welfare Department of the Guillena City Council has initiated the registration process for the Supera program, aimed at the care of minors and young people with disabilities. The 2026-27 academic year will commence on October 1st.
Services offered include speech therapy, physiotherapy, educational support, and cognitive stimulation. For younger children, who attend in the afternoon, care is individualized.
For young people, who attend in the morning, a social skills workshop has also been developed. This workshop includes monthly participation in the radio program Guillena al día, broadcast by Onda Guillena Radio. Additionally, this year there will be sessions of music therapy and body stimulation through music, in collaboration with the Municipal Music School, with two sessions per week.
The Supera Building, located at Dr. Fléming street, in the lower level of the Study Hall, hosts the activities. Registration remains open throughout the course for families requiring these services. For more information, they can contact the Social Welfare Department at the Municipal Social Services Center, located at Avenida Alcalde Justo Padilla.
The Supera program, launched in 2006 by the Social Welfare Department, has since provided care to the municipality's population with disabilities using its own resources.
