During the session, key issues for the security and organization of the Romería were analyzed, with a special focus on coordination among the various services, traffic regulation, health assistance, and response to potential incidents.
“"Safety is a priority for this City Council, and our goal is to ensure that everyone can enjoy the Romería and our traditions with peace of mind, supported by a perfectly coordinated and prepared device to handle any circumstance that may arise."
Mayor Luis Mariano Camacho emphasized that safety is a "priority" and thanked all professionals and groups involved. "The security of an event of this nature requires the joint effort of many people and administrations. Coordination between the Local Police, Civil Guard, health services, Civil Protection, municipal staff, and other groups is fundamental for everything to proceed normally," he stated.
For his part, the Councilor for Festivals, Manuel Rodríguez, highlighted the importance of advance preparation for this celebration, one of the most significant on the local calendar. "We want it to be a day of coexistence, tradition, and enjoyment for everyone. For this, it is essential that all involved parties know their roles and work together," he noted.
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Bartolomé Morales, stressed the preventive nature of the meeting. "The main objective is to anticipate any situation that may arise and establish effective coordination among all personnel who will be part of the security device. Good planning and constant communication are fundamental to act quickly and efficiently if necessary," he explained.
Morales also emphasized the importance of citizen collaboration, pointing out that while a prepared security force is essential, it is equally important for participants to respect the instructions of officers and emergency services.
The meeting allowed for the sharing of needs from each service and progress in planning the security operation, whose main objectives are to prevent risks, ensure the safety of pilgrims, and facilitate the smooth running of travel and the celebration.
