LEDA, Líneas Extremeñas de Autobuses, the company operating this connection, announced the interruption of its services due to “unforeseen logistical reasons.” This situation has left hundreds of daily commuters without their usual transport option, forcing them to seek alternatives.
According to reports from RTVE.es, the company is currently undergoing bankruptcy proceedings, and its employees have reported not receiving their salaries for several months. In light of this, Facua emphasizes the critical need for the Ministry of Transport to implement an immediate provisional solution.
“"Facua considers it a priority for the Ministry of Transport to adopt a provisional solution to immediately restore a route used daily by hundreds of people."
The organization has also called upon the Junta de Andalucía and the Junta de Extremadura to collaborate with the Ministry of Transport, within their respective jurisdictions, to expedite the reestablishment of the route. They suggest either provisionally awarding the line to another company or implementing an emergency contract to ensure service provision.
