The event, which marked its thirty-fifth edition, took place on Saturday morning and started from the descent of Plaza Jesús Nazareno, unfolding along the Rota coastline. Independent athletes and runners from clubs in various locations such as Rota, Jerez, Chipiona, and Andorra took part in the race.
In the men's category, Manuel Jesús González Villalva was the first to cross the finish line, with a time of 27 minutes and 50 seconds. The independent runner engaged in a close contest with Máximo Sánchez López (Serradells Andorra), who finished second, just six seconds behind the winner. The men's podium was completed by Manuel Gatón Núñez, representing Club Atletismo Roteño Vía Verde, who was the top local finisher.
Meanwhile, María José Ruiz-Mateos Laynez, an athlete from CA Runchip Catunambú, secured victory in the women's classification with a mark of 34 minutes and 53 seconds. Second place went to Nadia Veracruz Rivas Monclova (Maratón Jerez), followed by Vanesa Castro Mellado from Club Atletismo Chipiona, who rounded out the women's podium.
La Costilla beach once again served as the main venue for this race, a distinctive feature that sets it apart from other popular summer events. The organization, managed by Peña Dosa in collaboration with the Sports Delegation, concluded with the presentation of trophies to the top finishers.
