The study, conducted for ABC de Sevilla, positions the Popular Party as the dominant political force in the preferences of Andalusia's citizens ahead of the elections on May 17. This preference for a government without partners significantly surpasses any other power alternative, reflecting stability in the regional political landscape.
“"The Andalusian electorate not only continues to place the PP as the leading political force but also shows a clear preference for a popular executive without the need for pacts or coalitions."
The second most supported option is a left-wing coalition government, including the PSOE, Por Andalucía, and Adelante Andalucía, garnering 25% support. Meanwhile, a pact between the Popular Party and Vox reaches 18%, while a solo socialist executive barely achieves 9% of preferences.
The survey also highlights the low demand for a pact between the Popular Party and Vox, falling twenty points below the citizens' preferred option. This data is relevant, as public opinion appears to differentiate between parliamentary results and the desired political formula for the region.
The analysis by electorates shows a high ideological concentration. Among Popular Party voters, 76% support a solo executive, while among PSOE voters, the preferred option is a progressive coalition (48%). Vox voters, at 73%, lean towards an agreement with the Popular Party.
