The Seville Chamber of Commerce hosted the 13th Night of Economy and Business, honoring eight companies and recognizing the career of Ricardo Pumar, president of Grupo INSUR, for his contribution to the provincial economic development.

The Seville Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 13th Night of Economy and Business, an event recognizing the work of companies and professionals driving the economic development of the province. The gala, held at the Cartuja Center Cite Theater, presented eight business awards, four special anniversary recognitions, and a career achievement distinction.
Among the honored companies were ACESUR (Internationalization Award), Grupo BGO (Digital Economy), GM Technology (Sustainability), Fusión (Startup of the Year), Mercasevilla (support for SMEs and self-employed), Pilatus (Strategic Project for Seville), and Siderúrgica Sevillana (Emblematic Industry). Vicente Boluda was also recognized for his commitment to Seville.
Anniversary recognitions were given to Bulnes Eurogroup (70 years), FEDEME (50 years), SIMOF (three decades), and Muchodeporte (25 years).

The role that the Chamber of Commerce has historically played as a driver of Seville's productive fabric and a link between companies, administrations, and society.

A particularly emotional moment was the presentation of the career achievement award to Ricardo Pumar López, president of Grupo INSUR. Representing the awardees, Pumar thanked the distinction and highlighted the Chamber of Commerce's role in fostering Seville's productive sector. He emphasized the current opportunities in Andalusia, mentioning sectors like agribusiness, technology, renewable energy, aeronautics, and tourism, and advocated for companies as engines of employment and social well-being.
The gala was attended by the acting Minister of Employment, Rocío Blanco; the second deputy mayor of the Seville City Council, Álvaro Pimentel; and the president of the Seville Chamber of Commerce, Francisco Herrero. Herrero stressed the importance of recognizing entrepreneurial effort amidst economic and political uncertainty. He thanked the support of the companies in the Club Cámara and advocated for a favorable fiscal framework and agile administration. He also recalled the institution's legacy on its 140th anniversary.
Álvaro Pimentel highlighted Seville's positive economic evolution, noting a 4.2% growth in new company registrations during the current municipal term, driven by the technology, aerospace, and advanced services sectors. He pointed out that unemployment in Seville fell below 50,000 in May for the first time since 2008 and emphasized collaboration between administrations and businesses to reduce bureaucratic hurdles.
Minister Rocío Blanco also underscored the contribution of companies and self-employed individuals to the economic and social development of Andalusia, emphasizing public-private cooperation for growth. She congratulated the Seville Chamber of Commerce and the awardees, noting their contributions to innovation, internationalization, and job creation, and highlighted the region's strong indicators in affiliation, exports, and foreign investment. Blanco reiterated the Andalusian government's commitment to fostering a favorable economic environment.
