The Cordoba council has updated its feasibility report for the operation of these four sites, aiming for them to be open to the public year-round and offer guided tours. The projection is that a private company could achieve a net profit of 29,234 euros annually by 2026 from managing these tourist attractions.
According to the new document, the estimated revenue for the concessionaire would amount to 330,155 euros, with projected expenses of 300,931 euros. These figures represent a slight increase compared to the initial estimates made in 2025. The report also considers the possibility of renting these spaces for various activities, such as filming.
The municipal study calculates that these monuments and the museum would receive a total of 64,542 visits in 2026. This figure is considerably lower than the 2025 projection (231,441 visits), mainly due to a change in pricing policy. The new proposal establishes a flat fee of five euros per ticket for each space, with 50% reductions for large families, youth cardholders, university students up to 26 years old, and seniors over 65.
The Roman Temple is expected to attract the most visitors, with 20,466 (31.7% of the total), followed by the Puerta del Puente and the Mausoleums, each with 15,774 visits (24%). The Patios Museum would be last with 12,528 visitors (19.4%), despite having been closed since 2019.
The proposed visiting schedule divides the year into two periods. High season (March-June and September-October) will include a minimum of four daily tours from Sunday to Friday and seven on Saturdays. During low season (November-February and July-August), this will be reduced to two daily tours from Sunday to Friday and four on Saturdays, including openings on Mondays. Each tour will have a minimum duration of thirty minutes and a maximum of thirty people per group.
