Artist Dani Fernández, a consolidated figure in national pop after his time with Auryn, will resume his 'La Insurrección' tour in Seville and Fuengirola following a serious fall in April. He announces an indefinite break starting in October to reconnect with music.

Following a serious fall in April that forced him to reschedule dates, singer Dani Fernández is preparing to continue his 'La Insurrección' tour. The artist will perform at the Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest on June 26th and in Fuengirola on July 4th. Fernández, originally from Alcázar de San Juan, has successfully built a solo career with albums like 'Incendios' and 'La Jauría'.
The incident in Valencia, where he fell from the stage into the pit, marked a challenging recovery process. "It has been two months of daily work with the physical therapist and surgeon to be able to be in the best possible condition for my encounters with the public," the singer explained. Although not yet at one hundred percent, he will approach the tour normally, prioritizing his health to avoid relapses and chronic discomfort.
Canceling concerts was a "major blow" for Fernández, who considers himself "very passionate" and believes "the show must go on." The bittersweet feeling of receiving messages of affection while disappointing the audience with cancellations led him to "keep a clear mind" for a speedy recovery.
Regarding his recent works, 'La Jauría' was conceived as a critique of life's pace and reliance on social media. 'La Insurrección,' on the other hand, aims to be a "next step," promoting education on platform usage and creating a "fictional revolution" at his concerts to "emphasize living, enjoying, shaking hands with those beside you, and forgetting problems."
Fernández has reflected on the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) phenomenon and the importance of enjoying the moment without the need to post about it. "I try to reflect on that, to say how much I enjoyed myself without needing to publish anything," he commented.
Starting in October, the artist will take an "indefinite break," a decision he deems necessary for his "family, my daughter, and my life," despite the potential risks in the current music industry whirlwind. "If upon my return there are fewer people, I will accept it just as I did when I left Auryn and started from scratch in smaller venues," he stated, emphasizing his loyalty to his feelings and the need to "reconnect with music."
This creative demand, marked by "three concerts every weekend," impacted his writing process, leading him to name his previous album 'La Jauría.' He is confident that his next album "will meet the standards I demand of myself."
The singer becomes emotional thinking about what the young Dani Fernández, who represented Spain in Eurovision in 2006, would feel seeing the four sold-out Movistar Arena shows. "Achieving what everyone said was impossible makes you feel very proud," he noted, thanking his parents' efforts.
To emerging artists, he advises "enjoying the small steps" and not pressuring themselves to fill large venues from the start. "I feel a healthy envy for those in the small venue stage, because I experienced it a lot and would love to feel that magic of the beginnings again," he concluded.
