The city of Sevilla is set to host a moving tribute to the soundtracks of the acclaimed Studio Ghibli. Titled 'Ghibli Evenings', the event promises to transport attendees to the fantastical worlds created by masters such as Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata, and Toshio Suzuki.
The concert will focus on the compositions of maestro Joe Hisaishi, whose melodies have brought to life iconic films like My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Howl's Moving Castle. These productions, recognized for their artistic quality and emotional depth, have captivated generations and established Ghibli as a global animation benchmark.
An intimate and evocative atmosphere, created by thousands of candles, will serve as the perfect setting for a quartet featuring piano, violin, cello, and flute to perform the studio's most beloved pieces. The event aims to offer an unforgettable journey through the scores that have shaped the history of animated cinema.
The event will take place on November 20th at the Teatro Los Remedios in Sevilla, starting at 8:00 PM. Tickets are already available through the Giglon website, priced at 28 euros per person.
