The event, held from last Tuesday to this Sunday, featured a prior agenda that included the Opening Proclamation by the mayor of Grazalema, Carlos García, and the Festival de Cante Grande. The municipal delegate for Festivals, Rebeca Muñoz, highlighted the high participation and the return to normalcy, particularly with the bullfighting events and the entry of the Goyesca Ladies and their President, Milagros Naranjo, into the bullring after the renovation works of the historic arena.
Muñoz expressed gratitude to the fan clubs, calling them the "soul of our Fair," and praised the Parade, the Equestrian Attire and Costume Contest, with a special mention to María Dúctor. The fairgrounds were full, featuring performances like Miguel Campello and the Goyesca Proclamation by Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo. The floral offering to Pedro Romero, the inauguration of the Fair's entrance arch, designed by architect Pilar Serratosa, and the visit to the patron saint, the Virgen de la Paz, were also remembered.
Regarding Citizen Security, the councilor Alicia López, accompanied by the Chief Inspector of the Local Police, Miguel Aranda, reported a very positive outcome with few serious incidents. The Local Police deployed between 49 and 68 officers daily, recording 10 citations for drug possession, 9 for public order, 20 for violations of the municipal coexistence ordinance, 6 for public urination, 5 for street vending, and 5 for public alcohol consumption.
182 bottles of alcohol, 27 tickets for the Goyesca, and nearly 3,500 euros were seized from individuals illegally selling them, along with a portable taser. There were 6 minor scuffles attended by health services, and preventive alcohol and drug checks were conducted nightly. López congratulated the police officers and Civil Protection volunteers, who provided over 2,000 hours of service, 125 medical assists, and 15 hospital transfers. The search for lost children in the fairgrounds was also highlighted.
The Councilor for Traffic, Jorge Fernández, detailed that 8 traffic accidents occurred, one with minor injuries and the rest with material damage. He emphasized that the traffic management for the Fair is the most complex challenge for the City Council, ensuring the safety of pedestrians and drivers. The traffic cut on the ring road, imposed by the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), was necessary to guarantee access for service vehicles and emergencies to the fairgrounds' entrance. Nearly a thousand parking spaces were made available, managed by Ayuca and Alfaro for charitable purposes.
