The municipal delegate for Social Rights, Cristina Durán, and the president of the Red Cross in Ronda, Antonio Lasanta, presented this Friday a new blood donation campaign. The initiative will take place at the Vicente Espinel Municipal Theater on September 14, 15, and 16, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Antonio Lasanta explained that this will be the penultimate campaign of the year in Ronda for blood and plasma donation. With this effort, the city hopes to exceed 500 donations throughout 2026. The president of the Red Cross highlighted the solidarity of Ronda's residents and, especially, the incorporation of young people as donors, which allows the municipality to maintain its donation rate.
The Center for Transfusion, Tissues, and Cells of Malaga, along with its professionals, will attend to individuals wishing to donate during the specified days. "It is commendable to maintain this level," stated Lasanta.
For her part, Durán echoed the importance of the campaign. "There is significant generational change, but we want to make a special call to young people; this blood gives life to those who need it." She also thanked the work of the Red Cross volunteers and, in general, all the people involved in the initiative.
