The election of King and Queen 2026, Jordi and Alba, marked the start of the festivals in the La Envía neighborhood of Vícar. The young representatives were chosen after an afternoon of children's games that served as a prelude to the weekend's program.
The festive agenda continues today with a mass in the Plaza Municipal at six in the evening, followed by the Romería de la Virgen de la Cueva. In the evening, the Dúo Reencuentro will entertain the street party starting at 10:00 PM, culminating with the Coronation of the King and Queen at 11:00 PM.
Saturday will be dedicated to physical activity with family sports, an F-5 tournament, and a paddle tennis tournament starting at 10:30 AM at the sports facilities of La Envía. The official 'chupinazo' (opening siren) at 2:00 PM in the Plaza Municipal will usher in the midday fair, with a bar, live music, and children's activities. The night will be closed by the orchestra ‘Mar Azul’.
The celebrations will conclude on Sunday with a color and foam party at 11:30 AM, followed by music and gastronomy throughout the rest of the day.
The festivals of La Envía are a meeting point that attracts more residents and visitors from other neighborhoods each year, promoting community and leisure in an urban space that is constantly evolving and growing thanks to citizen participation.
