These festivities, which mark the beginning of the municipality's festive calendar, will offer a diverse and comprehensive program, designed for the enjoyment of all ages. The agenda combines elements of tradition, culture, sports, and leisure, establishing itself as one of the most anticipated events for both residents and visitors of Roquetas de Mar.
“"The El Parador festivities are a meeting point that brings together more people every year, becoming a benchmark for coexistence, participation, and tourist attraction in our municipality."
The festivities will kick off on Thursday, May 14, with the traditional opening firecracker, followed by the official lighting ceremony, the proclamation, the crowning of queens, and a fireworks display. Additionally, musical performances and children's activities have been scheduled. This year, the tribute to the elderly person falls on an 82-year-old resident.
The proclamation will be delivered by a professional footballer, a Spanish center-forward who currently plays in the Portuguese first division. Throughout the four days of celebration, attendees can enjoy an intense program that includes sports tournaments in football, tennis, basketball, and chess, as well as cultural and participatory events such as workshops, children's theater, contests, and dance exhibitions.
Among the most traditional events are the mass and procession in honor of San Isidro Labrador, which will be held on Friday, May 15. The offerings for children include inflatables, a tourist train, themed parties, and games. There will also be a midday fair and gastronomic activities, along with musical performances by orchestras and artists such as Decai and La Tentación.
Highlighted events include a parade of floats, themed parties such as Holi Colors, foam, and Neon Party, nocturnal concerts, and the final firecracker that will conclude four days of intense activity in the municipality.
