The Dalías Steering Group, comprising volunteers, representatives from associations, and members of the municipal government team, recently met to review the document. During the meeting, they analyzed the main needs, weaknesses, and threats to health in the municipality, while also highlighting its strengths and opportunities.
This collaborative effort has resulted in a strategic plan that will form the central axis of the future framework for local health action. The consensus draft, developed through participatory means, will soon be presented to the municipal plenary for final approval and subsequent implementation.
“"It is essential to have a useful and realistic tool that allows us to continue building a healthier, more inclusive municipality committed to the well-being of all residents."
The plan is part of the Andalusian Regional Government's Local Health Action Network and receives support from the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs and the Poniente de Almería Health District. This inter-institutional collaboration and citizen participation are key pillars for its development.
The city council remains committed to policies that promote healthy lifestyles, emotional well-being, sports practice, coexistence, environmental respect, and healthy gastronomy. Through these actions, Dalías solidifies its position as a municipality dedicated to community health and sustainable development, reaffirming its commitment to the continuous improvement of services and resources for its citizens.
