The initiative aims to cover the high costs of the medical treatment that the child is currently receiving in the United States. The charity event will take place on April 6th and will feature various prizes, including dinners at restaurants, tickets for Bioparc Fuengirola, spa experiences at Higuerón Resort, and product baskets donated by collaborating companies. Additionally, footballer Joaquín Muñoz has donated a signed jersey from his team's squad.
The diagnosis unexpectedly came to the family during a vacation. After noticing their daughter was unwell, multiple medical tests confirmed the devastating news. Currently, Ella is undergoing chemotherapy and will soon start a new treatment. The organizers hope to gather between 12,000 and 15,000 euros, but the main objective, according to Belén González, is for the family to feel the support of their homeland.
“"The most important thing is that Luci and Ella feel the support of their land and all the people who love them. Even though we are far away, we are still by their side."
The initiative has received backing from various associations and entities in Málaga, such as the Lagunillas Association and the Inbroda Foundation, which has provided its sports facilities for the event. In parallel, a solidarity race is being organized in Fuengirola. Ella's recovery is progressing slowly but steadily, almost a year after her diagnosis.
All proceeds will be managed through a foundation and will be entirely dedicated to helping Ella and her family cover the expenses related to her treatment.
