Fundación Unicaja has increased its social investment by 57% compared to the previous year, allocating 76 million euros in 2025. The institution's annual report reveals the execution of 4,220 activities and projects that positively impacted 3.3 million people in its main area of operation, covering Andalucía and Ciudad Real. The foundation collaborated with over five hundred entities.

During the past fiscal year, Fundación Unicaja completed its 2023/2025 Strategic Plan, focused on promoting territorial balance, financial inclusion, research, volunteering, and ASG criteria (environmental, social, and governance).

The Foundation's president, José Manuel Domínguez, highlighted the intention to enhance contributions to socioeconomic, educational, sports, and cultural development, ensuring sustainable social work and managing its stake in Unicaja's shareholding. Domínguez aims for a "closer and more participatory" image for the entity, noting it is the largest investor in social economy in Andalucía.

Among the year's milestones is the creation of its investment holding company, Fundatia, and its real estate developer LiveUpp. Fundatia started with a portfolio of 195 million euros and aims to exceed 450 million in managed assets by the end of 2028. General Director Sergio Corral explained that this holding company seeks to support the Andalusian business fabric, promote social housing, and diversify income sources for its social work.

Fundación Unicaja plans to expand its territorial presence with a future headquarters in Sevilla, in addition to the ongoing works for its headquarters in Granada and the progress in the administrative process for the sociocultural center in Jaén. Regarding the future cultural headquarters in Málaga, located on the Astoria site, the Foundation awaits land cession from the City Council to begin the project and subsequent construction.

By area, social action received over 12 million euros for more than 400 projects, with a focus on special groups. The culture area allocated 18 million to arts and heritage, resulting in over 2,000 cultural proposals for 2.2 million people. Education received 13 million to reach over 80,000 beneficiaries.

Socioeconomic development, including biomedical research and entrepreneurship, had over 14 million euros for more than 130 projects, reaching 35,000 people. The company Fundalogy invested in five new startups, bringing the total supported projects to 23.

In sports and leisure, 17 million euros were invested in over 1,000 projects with 780,000 beneficiaries. The environmental area, linked to volunteering, carried out more than 300 initiatives with two million euros, impacting nearly 28,000 people.
